Pandemic: Imaging AIDS. Dittmar Gallery, Northwestern University, January 6–February 8, 2004.

Pandemic: Imaging AIDS was an internationally traveling exhibition that encompassed over 100 works from 47 artists. Its aim was to document the history of AIDS and generate awareness of global responses to the epidemic. Photographic works by both activist groups and individual artists – including Robert Mapplethorpe, Cindy Sherman, Annie Liebowitz, and Nan Goldin – were displayed in the gallery.

The exhibition was co-organized by Moxie Firecracker Films and Umbrage Editions, under the direction of documentary filmmaker Rory Kennedy and photojournalist Nan Richardson. It was part of the larger Pandemic: Facing AIDS project.
